COLUMBUS, Ohio -- CENTS Marketplace (The Central Environmental Nursery and Landscape Trade Show) announced today it has secured the talent of international speaker, author and leader D.J. “Eagle Bear” Vanas.
Recognized for his work with entities like IBM, Walt Disney, NASA, the Secret Service, and the American Cancer Society, this decorated U.S. Air Force officer and member of the Odawa tribe brings a unique message about taking on professional and personal challenges in the spirit of a warrior.
“CENTS brings some 7,500 professionals together each year, and we intend to make it count, “said Amy Eldridge, new manager of the 80+ year-old event. “In today’s business environment conventions need to provide top talent and opportunities, and D.J. Vanas represents the best of that thinking. Excellence is why CENTS Marketplace continues to thrive through the OSU Nursery Short Course and our convention and business programming; we lead by example.”
Vanas is an entrepreneur like many members of CENTS nation, dedicated to “building the warriors of tomorrow.” The green industry is full of these modern day tribes, according to Eldridge—organizations, companies, clients and customers who can benefit from exposure to the warrior approach to workplace challenges and opportunities.
CENTS Marketplace recently rolled out a new website, CENTSMarketplace.com, to highlight the green and business education, events and inspiration that can be found there. The event is slated for Jan. 13-15, 2014 at The Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus.
