Carolina Native Nursery joins American Beauties

The North Carolina nursery will become part of the American Beauties family of growers.

HOCKESSIN, Del. – Carolina Native Nursery, located near Ashville, North Carolina, is joining the American Beauties family of growers. Established in 2003, the nursery specializes in growing native plants of the Southern Appalachian region. The demand for native plants is growing quickly and the American Beauties brand will help solve the problems consumers are having in locating them.

"Most garden centers have a limited selection of native plants; their staff is often unfamiliar with the product," said Peggy Anne Montgomery, brand manager of American Beauties Native Plants. "This brand will help take the guess work out of shopping for natives."

Bill Jones, owner of Carolina Native Nursery, said his nursery is thrilled to become part of the American Beauties family.

"As the regional leader in promotion and production of native plants, we think this association will allow us to better position Carolina Native Nursery with independent garden centers," Jones said. "We have seen the demand for native plants increase dramatically recently because of the public's recognition of the vital roll these plants play in songbird, pollinator, and butterfly health. And, we look forward to a longer term relationship with American Beauties and it's fantastic program."

Steve Castorani, co-owner of American Beauties Native Plants, said Carolina Native Nursery's 13 years of experience growing and selling native plants will be a huge benefit for the American Beauties family of growers.

"Our partnership with them is a natural fit and we welcome their experience and enthusiasm," Castorani said. "Carolina is coming out of the gate with more than 100 plants in the brand and will expand our reach into the Ashville, Atlanta, Raleigh, and Charlotte, markets that are clamoring for landscape worthy native plants. We couldn’t be more proud to have a quality grower like Carolina Native Nursery on board and are looking forward to their launch this summer.”
