The numbers are in and thanks to an unusually rainy April, the state's drought picture is looking much better than the year before, according to a story at Examiner.com.
Much of the Bay Area's reservoirs are close to adequate levels with some lagging reservoirs across far Northern California and near the Sierra. In the case of some Sierra runoff locations, the state’s abundant late season snowpack should pay dividends heading into the start of summer. The final site survey of the Sierra snowpack revealed a snowpack nearly 188 percent of average in the Northern Sierra and roughly 143 percent of average statewide.
