Big Lots Stores Inc. will soon buy inventory from Commerce Corp., the garden supply giant which closed at the end of 2012, according to an article in The Baltimore Sun.

The deal is expected to be more than $6 million. The money will be used to pay down debt at M&T Bank, as Commerce owes the bank nearly $18 million in principal as of late February, according to the article.
A handful of creditors have also filed an involuntary bankruptcy petition.
