Christine Kelleher, marketing operations manager at Aris Horticulture, has announced the news of her retirement to the industry. She has just completed her 44th year, starting with the company in 1976. Christine’s career at the company has spanned sales service, marketing secretary, administrative assistant, public relations and finally marketing operations manager. She worked with sales/marketing, executive and Aris’ divisional management teams over the years for all marketing and brand management activities at Yoder Brothers, Green Leaf Plants, Blooms of Bressingham, The Flower Fields, and rebranding of Yoder Brothers to Aris Horticulture, as well as Blooms of Bressingham to Must Have Perennials.
As marketing has grown in importance in the industry, she has been a played a valuable role for the company in adapting to the evolution of marketing from print to digital across all divisions of the company with her high-quality work, professionalism and consistency.
Christine is active in the Barberton Historical Society which is dedicated to preservation of the history of the Anna Dean Farm. In her retirement, she will have a bit more time to invest in the society. Christine’s’ children are close by and as a recent grandparent, she is looking forward to spending more time with family.
Wendy Hanzel has been promoted to corporate marketing manager and takes on the responsibility for taking the marketing department forward in the digital age while maintaining the high content standards of the past. Wendy has held various marketing positions including art director, graphic designer, advertising and promotions, and website marketing. Wendy’s most recent position at Donzell’s Garden Center in Akron, Ohio was marketing/advertising and promotions coordinator. Wendy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a major in graphic design. She has a wealth of knowledge in design and marketing and a true passion for horticulture.
