New York, NY - World-renowned rosarian and breeder of the Drift rose series, Alain Meilland, head of Meilland International, was honored at the annual Great Rosarians of the World (GROW) event earlier this month in New York City.
The GROW award is presented annually to a rosarian who has made remarkable contributions to the rose industry. As head of Meilland International, Alain Meilland has worked in this field for 50 years. He has continued to drive the six- generation, family-owned and -managed company to produce eye-catching roses. Meilland International produces many varieties of roses, including the Drift rose series and, more recently, the 2013 AARS winner, Francis Meilland.
