Estimated to reach about 10 feet in height and width, it is a vigorous grower that calipers well. It has a uniform umbrella shaped habit and blooms in spring with pink flowers typical of the species. | Blushing Bride caladium Blushing Bride caladium from Abbott-IPCO, Dallas, is an intermediate sized strap-leaved variety with bright deep-pink veins and translucent laminar areas. It is a true beauty among caladiums. On mature leaves, main veins can be white. Useful in 4-inch pots and up. De-eyeing improves habit. De-eyed Blushing Bride looks great in a hanging basket. | Hosta ‘Curly Fries’ Hosta ‘Curly Fries’ from Green Hill Farm, Chapel Hill, N.C., is a small plant with narrow “curly” leaves that exhibit great substance. They emerge chartreuse in spring then lighten to near white in summer. The scape is deep purple, bearing lavender flowers in July. It is sun tolerant and makes an incredible pot plant.
