Name: First Editions Ruby Tears crabapple
Description: Pink flowers cover the pendulous branches each spring. It bears attractive dark-red fruit and features burgundy-green foliage, much like ‘Prairiefire.’ Ruby Tears, from Bailey Nurseries, was found as a seedling at Beverly Nursery in Indiana.
Habit: Naturally weeping form that grows up to 10-feet tall and 15-feet wide.
Landscape use: Use as a specimen tree. Plant it in full sun, and place it somewhere the spring flowers and rich foliage color will be fully enjoyed.
Hardiness: USDA Hardiness
Zones 4-7.
