Don’t let the small stature of Sedum makinoi ‘Ogon’ keep you from growing this selection. It has a lot to offer in a petite package. First, the chartreuse foliage is so cheery – it’s bound to make any consumer stop and take a look. Its individual rounded leaves are only ¼-inch wide, giving ‘Ogon’ the “awwwww” factor. It forms a dense groundcover in the ground or looks just as grand in a mixed container.
Why grow Sedum makinoi ‘Ogon’?
Drought tolerant once established.
Deer and rabbit resistant.
The bright-green color and diminutive leaves will create consumer buzz.
Low maintenance. Allan Armitage says, “Put it in the garden and get out of the way.”
