Name: Crimson Sunset maple
Description: Deep purple foliage changes to maroon or reddish-bronze. It matures to 35 feet tall and 25 feet wide.
Attributes: Heat tolerance is the distinguishing characteristic of this Acer truncatum hybrid. Due to the A. truncatum parentage, it flourishes in the summer heat when few purple-leafed plants will grow.
Growth habit: Oval, but more upright and compact compared to Crimson King.
Hardiness: To USDA Hardiness Zone 4.
