Business changes
Dosatron International, Clearwater, Fla., has partnered with Dosa Distributions, Oakland, Calif., to create modular, ready-to-install panel systems for the hydroponic and boutique garden markets.
Scotts Miracle-Gro, Marysville, Ohio, is expanding its manufacturing plant and has purchased a distribution facility in Orrville, Ohio. The expansion will create about 100 additional jobs.

Darrel Apps, Garden Adventures, Wild Rose, Wis., received the Perennial Plant Association’s Award of Merit.
The Society of American Florists awarded the 2009 Alex Laurie Award for Research and Education to Lance Osborne, professor of entomology, University of Florida, Gainesville.
Modine Manufacturing Company, Racine, Wis., was given a first place award for its new Effinity93 gas-fired heater by Business Contracting.com at the 2009 Comfortech Expo.
