Gator, an aloe hybrid from EuroAmerican Propagators, sports an interesting, reptile-like color pattern on the leaves. The habit is a tight triangular structure that keeps growing upward, stacking triads of leaves. Once established, the plant will send out numerous pups around the perimeter, filling its container. Gator is excellent for rock gardens and patio containers. It grows from 4-8 inches tall. It’s hardy in Zones 9-11. Gator is part of EuroAmerican’s Savvy Succulents Collection.
Red Rooster crape myrtle from McCorkle Nurseries is a beautiful, mid-sized grower (8-10 feet at maturity) with large panicles of brilliant-red blossoms.
