2025 Native Plant Market Report - Research:
For our first Native Plants Market Report, we surveyed 281 readers about their native plant production. Most of our respondents were from the U.S. (95%), and states with most respondents were California, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas. Nearly half of those surveyed are wholesale growers/propagators (40%), with 30% identifying as a retail garden center/nursery. Another 16% fell into the categories of landscape design/build or maintenance firm, municipality or public garden, botanical garden/arboretum and extension or university-affiliated program.
