The Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association has announced the launch of MGIX, the Midwest Green Industry Xperience. Formerly known as CENTS, MGIX will combine education with an expanded trade show. The event will still take place January 16–18, 2017 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.
The roll out of the MGIX brand replaces the tradeshow’s former name of CENTS, the Central Environmental Nursery Trade Show, with an aim to be more inclusive of the diverse audience the tradeshow attracts.
"Attendees to our show have flowed over the boundaries of the nursery and landscape industries,” said Frits Rizor, executive director of ONLA. “We want to make sure that attendees from all walks of the green industry feel welcome and valued.”
MGIX includes more than 700 exhibitors and vendors, a robust schedule of education sessions and workshops, featured speakers, specialized training, and professional development opportunities. Networking events and the announcement of the 44th annual Landscape Awards also take place during the three-day event.
The 2017 tradeshow features floorplan and schedule changes to provide a well-rounded experience for attendees, while increasing exposure for exhibitors.
"MGIX will provide the maximum return on investment for all involved and is a win-win for both attendees and exhibitors," said Tracie Zody, MGIX manager. "Attendees will gain access to new and existing products and services, networking opportunities and industry-leading education, while exhibitors will leave the show with new prospects and contacts, repeat business, strengthened relationships and long term partnerships."
The 2016 tradeshow was attended by more than 5,000, and had 700 exhibit booths and 130 educational sessions.
