Head to Northeast Ohio on the Nursery Production Tour

The 2021 Nursery Production Tour will introduce or reacquaint visitors to the nursery industry of Lake County in northeast Ohio. The “Nursery Belt” of Lake County is known for its legendary soil, which was formed by glacial till then shaped and reshaped by waves and wind. The result is a unique diversity of many types of fertile soils.

The full-day tour takes place Saturday, July 10. It costs $165 and includes lunch. The bus departs from Greater Columbus Convention Center at 7:15 a.m. and is slated to return by approximately 6:30 p.m. Attendees will leave with best practices and new ideas to take back to their teams.

There will be 3 stops on the tour: Bluestone Perennials, North Coast Perennials, and Ridge Manor Nursery.

The first stop will be Bluestone Perennials, a family-owned business near Lake Erie, that focuses solely on direct-to-consumer sales, a unique business model for the nursery industry.
