From Nov. 4 to Dec. 6, the University of Florida IFAS Extension will offer two online greenhouse training courses in weed management and irrigation water quality. The classes, which are offered in English and Spanish, are completely online and include videos, readings and assignments.
The weed management course will teach students how to manage all aspects of weed supervision in nurseries and greenhouses. The course is designed for employees in the United States and internationally who are in production, technical or sales roles. The weed management course will
The irrigation water quality course will teach participants how to interpret water quality tests for irrigation of greenhouse and nursery crops, and a host of other irrigation quality components. It is designed for advanced level (experienced, well-trained grower, or upper university level) employees in the United States and abroad who are in management, production, facility or technical roles.

The courses can be accessed with a desktop computer, tablet or smart phone and will be available at any time of the day. New modules are activated each of the four weeks of the course and will take about four hours per week to complete.
The cost is $199 per student, and groups enrolling five or more will receive a 20% discount.
These programs are part of the UF/IFAS Extension Greenhouse Training Online program, and candidates will be sent a personalized certificate upon completion. These courses will not count as credit toward any university degree.
