Specifics

Name: Amelanchier × grandiflora.

Common name: Serviceberry.

Description: Typically grows up to 20 feet tall and 10-20 feet wide. Its natural form is multi-stemmed, but it can be trained as a single trunk. Pink buds and white flowers appear in spring and orange or red foliage adorns the tree in fall.

Hardiness: USDA Hardiness Zones 4-8.

In the landscape: Plant in full sun to partial shade. Makes a beautiful specimen tree. Small enough to plant under power lines.

Cultivars: ‘Autumn Brilliance,’ ‘Princess Diana,’ ‘Robin Hill.’
