Association for Garden Communicators seeking entries for 2017 GWA Media Awards

The annual awards program provides public recognition for excellence in gardening-related communications in all media.

New York (February 7, 2017) – GWA: The Association for Garden Communicators, invites all professional communicators in the green industry to submit entries to the 2017 GWA Media Awards.

The GWA Media Awards Program is one of the only national online media awards program for the gardening communications industry. For more than 20 years, GWA has conducted an annual awards program with the primary goal of providing public recognition for excellence in gardening-related communications in all media. With over 60 categories in the areas of writing, photography, digital & broadcast media, publishing and trade, this is a place for top professionals to be recognized for their accomplishments. This year also includes the launch of four new student award categories in writing, photography, digital and broadcast media.

Entry consideration is limited to entries that were published or broadcast during calendar year 2016. All entries must be received no later than 11:59:59 pm EST on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Visit gardenwriters.org for full instructions on how to enter. GWA members and non-members alike can submit to the GWA Media Awards. A jury of professionals, selected for their experience, expertise and genre perspective, will be assembled to evaluate all entries.

Awards will be given at two levels: Silver Awards of Achievement and Gold Awards for Best Talent or Best Product. Silver Awards will be announced July 2017, and winning entries will be displayed at the GWA 69th Annual Conference & Expo in Buffalo, New York. Gold Awards will be announced and unveiled during the Awards Banquet at the GWA 69th Annual Conference & Expo.
